MACABARET is a spooky vaudeville first performed at The Duplex is New York City in 1994. Since then, the show has had over thirty productions, in cities such as Chicago, Los Angeles, Minneapolis, Seattle, Nashville, Sarasota, Dayton and others. In 2012, MACABARET had its international premiere in Madrid, Spain.

MACABARET was originally written for a cast of five (3 women, 2 men), but has been performed with larger casts and smaller (2 w, 2 m.) The script and score are adaptable, as numerous new songs have been written for various productions over time. Each company makes the show its own. While usually presented in a late-night cabaret format with a running time of about an hour, the show has also been performed in a two-act version.

Production History

Since the Off-Broadway premiere in 1994, Macabaret has killed in 25+ productions. Original companies have played Chicago, Los Angeles, Seattle, and more. In 2012, the show received its first international audience (and translation) at the Teatro Prosperidad in Madrid.
